Welsh Dragon Enamel Earrings

Celtic Lands fine vitreous glass enamel red, white and green Welsh Dragon earrings. Designed in Cornwall, UK, to represent Welsh people's pride in their history and culture. Thought to bring good luck in battle, the dragon was used by Welsh kings in the early fifth century as a symbol of power and authority. It was Henry Tudor that placed a red dragon on a background of white and green (the traditional Tudor colours) and presented it at St Paul’s Cathedral after his victory at Bosworth against Richard III in 1485. Includes a 18”(45cm) chain and branded gift box.
